A panda at a zoo in Belgium bit his keeper’s arm and leg.
According to the Belgian press, a 4-year-old giant panda named “Tian Bao” attacked his caretaker at the Pairi Daiza private zoo in Walloon Region. The panda, known for being docile and calm, encountered a caregiver in the corridor, which was only accessible to the staff. Another caregiver interfered with the panda, which suddenly bit the caregiver’s arm and leg. Panda stopped with intervention.
Seriously injured caregiver was treated at the hospital. Giant pandas that live alone may feel uncomfortable entering their territory.
