The torrential rainfall and hail rain that started in Izmir as of 23:00 at night had a negative impact on life. Çiğli district was one of the districts most affected by the rains that were effective throughout the city. Hail rain for about 5 minutes turned the district white. The hailstones accumulated in some places resembled snowfall.

Citizens tried to clean the hailstones in front of their homes and workplaces with shovels. While floods occurred in some neighborhoods in Çiğli due to heavy rainfall, 17 houses were affected by floods. Çiğli Municipality and İzmir Metropolitan Municipality teams intervened in the floods in the district as soon as they were done.
The teams cleared the hail and rain water from the areas with ladles and sewage trucks.
