Looking at the nationality distribution of the deported foreign terrorist fighters, it was seen that a large number of terrorists were returned to the European Union (EU) countries. According to this; While 117 foreigners from 11 EU countries were sent back to their countries in 2019, in 2020, 95 foreign terrorist fighters from 8 EU countries were returned to their countries. In the 2.5-month period of this year, 12 foreign terrorist fighters from 3 EU countries were deported. Of the EU terrorists who have been repatriated in the last three years, 66 are from France, 57 from Germany, 22 from the Netherlands, 14 from Sweden and 7 from Switzerland.
